ββββ We ordered the Family Dinner for 2 from Ali Baba. The beef and lamb were delicious, flavorful, and cooked very well. The yellow rice, hummus, and baba ganoush were also delicious. However, the chicken tandoori and kabobs were too burnt, which affected the taste. Overall, we enjoyed the beef and lamb, but because some of the food was overcooked and burnt, Iβm giving it 4 stars. Unfortunately, I would not order again.

Deserts are amazing and friendly staff! I have it at 4 but I would put it more like 3 1/2 stars if I could, due to being disappointed with total cost based on the quality of the dinner platters. First we love to say that even though there was only one associate at the time working the register, and even waitressing at the same time she was a very friendly and accommodating host. Service, even with the one associate, was the best thing about this restaurant. Now it is not the best Mediterranean food we have ever had but it could be that we have been spoiled with some of the restaurants closer to the city of Chicago. My wife ordered the Chicken Shawarma Platter and I ordered the lamb shank platter. Best thing of both platters was the Mediterranean rice as we both devoured the rice completely. Unfortunately the Lamb Shank seemed a little tough and the chicken shawarma a little dry. The flavors of the meats were still good. Best portion were the deserts as they had in house ice cream as well as a Dubai Chocolate Tiramisu I would like to describe it as. This is definitely a place we like if we want to take a chance away from eating the typical most popular foods but more of a place we

Placed an order for delivery, I hurt my leg, so this was an easier option for me. I usually love Ali Baba, has always been a favorite. But.. this time, the baba ganoush was super stringy and the beef Schwarma was swimming in oil, cold and had a terrible taste and smell. I called the restaurant, told them about it, asked if they changed owners or cooks, she said she would put me thru to a manager, she came back on the phone and said well if you come in they will give you the beef schwarma without olive oil, I explained that it had a terrible smell and taste and why I had it delivered, she said sorry about that and that was it. Sadly, I will not be going back and 75 dollars i threw out the window. All went in the garbage.

This is our second time here, and we thought it was great both times. We split a mixed grill and a fattoush salad, which were both very tasty and more than enough for the two of us. They have a great dessert selection too, including baklava, a variety of delicious-looking cakes, Dubai chocolates, and gelato. Definitely better than most 4-star restaurants on Google Maps. I think they're more oriented toward takeout, because we had the place nearly to ourselves, but it's comfortable for dining in and has some nice decorative touches despite overall being pretty casual.
